- It is recommended to
remove foam insert after use.
Condensation may accumulate inside
lower plastic body and freeze in cold
environments.
This will not harm lower plastic body
or foam inserts, but it may deter the seal
between foam insert and lower plastic body.
This will also allow the foam
impressions to heal from water sealing
device.
Lifespan of foam insert will greatly
increase because of healing time.
It will keep foam like new for a
long, reliable service life.
- It is recommended to
use a twisting motion when inserting foam.
Lower plastic body utilizes and air
void to allow adjustment by changing volume.
A vapor lock may occur when inserting
foam.
Twisting foam allows air to escape –
eliminating the chance of vapor lock.
The twisting motion will greatly
reduce effort of foam insertion.
- When cutting float to
make the lower plastic body removable, we
recommend cutting through the component at
an angle.
It is also recommended to use a very
sharp knife to create the slimmest slot.
The angled cut and slim slot makes it
very difficult for the line to get through
resulting in float falling off.
Our video on the website depicts
these recommendations.
