Venom AB Model
Engineering and Design Specifications for Pin-On
Weights:
Sinkers have also been
known to create knots and fish often inspect
sinkers instead of your jig and bait.
From very clear waters to allowing your
minnow to roam more freely, these simple devices
allow you get the desired buoyancy in only
seconds.
Our floats can also be used as slow-fall
presentation devices.
This is to tune the float to sink at a
very slow rate of speed.
The weights allow this option with the
lightest of lures and baits.
The weights for our AB
model are designed to offer seamless adjustment
of our floats from zero weight to 1/4 oz.
See AB Model Calculations listed
below.
Weights are quickly and easily installed
or removed and do not require removal of float
from line.
AB Model Calculations:
- Standard foam insert
with large POW (0.000 oz. – 0.040 oz.)
- Standard foam insert
with small POW (0.040 oz. – 0.080 oz.)
- Standard foam insert
without POW (0.080 oz. – 0.135 oz.)
- Long foam insert
without POW (0.135 oz. – 0.220 oz.)

AD Model Specifications:
All of the above
specifications are for our AB model float.
The AB model is our most versatile float
size covering nearly all styles of sport
fishing.
Our second model to be released will be
the AD model.
This float is designed to suspend lures
1/16 oz. – 1/2 oz. with the aid of the AD model
POW’s.
We will keep you posted on the release
date.
Venom – Replacement Foam
Inserts Overview Expanded:
Our foam inserts are
manufactured much different than typical foam
fishing products.
It is a molding process that takes
closed-cell foam with an already tight cell
structure and compresses it for an even tighter
cell structure.
This manufacturing process creates very
tough and resilient foam that offers a long and
reliable life.
The foam that we use is currently used in
aerospace for vibration control and medical
devices for its superior quality – just to name
a few.
It is also used in many water rescue or
flotation devices because of a resistance to
absorb liquids.
The tight tolerances possible with this
foam allows for predictable manufacturing.
This creates the most reliable seal
between foam and lower plastic body with minimum
resistance during assembly.
One more major benefit is that we can
mold in different shapes.
This allows us to design a shape that
works best for the application and eliminate
manufacturing limitations with other processes.
Venom will be unveiling
different shapes of foam that will stand taller
for open water fishing or ice fishing.
The foam insert will utilize a small
diameter, cone shape top that is taller and adds
little buoyancy change.
These foam inserts will also be available
in multiple colors.
Release
date: Spring of 2011 for AB model.
